SJP chapters commend Movement for Black Lives for pro-Palestine platform

Chapters of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) from across the United States, under the banner of the National SJP (NSJP) network, released a statement last week expressing solidarity with and gratitude towards the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) for including in its recent policy platform strong language in favor of Palestinian rights and against U.S. complicity in Israeli apartheid.

The crackdown on pro-Palestine activism in the United States has reached a fever pitch. Early last month, New York Governor Cuomo signed an executive order calling for the creation of a blacklist of institutions and individuals that support Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel, and the denial of state funding to organizations that have participated in and/or support BDS activity.
