As part of a CODEPINK delegation, twenty-three Jewish-American activists traveled to the West Bank last week and traveled through Palestinian cities, including Ramallah, Nablus, Jenin, and East Jerusalem.

In a vote which took place at the 78th General Convention in Salt Lake City, leaders of the the Episcopal Church USA (ECUSA) rejected a resolution calling for divestment from companies that operate in Occupied Palestine and for a boycott of settlement products.

The United Church of Christ (UCC) has become the latest Christian denomination to heed the Palestinian call to divest from the Israeli occupation. In a vote taking place at their headquarters in Cleveland earlier this week, the General Synod, the Church’s highest legislative body, resolved to divest from and boycott companies that profit from the occupation, including Veolia, Caterpillar, Motorola, and HP.
